My Netgear N600 wireless router has stopped working. It served me well, but it's time to upgrade. Before I buy though I have a question.
My laptop has an Intel Centrino N 6230 Dual Band (2.4ghz, 5ghz) wireless card built in. This card uses the 802.11 a/b/g protocol. The routers I am interested in purchasing all use the 802.11 AC or AD protocol. Will I be able to use them with this network card or will I have to find some way to upgrade my built in network card? Please help I have no network right now and need to resolve this quickly.
Thank you

Re: AC4000

I would go with a AC standard router the model of router depends on what your needs are, a small home coud a lower price router while a larger home could use a higher priced router.

The price range you have to spend also helps in the choice of router.

The r7000 could be a good place to start.
