Access Control | netgear cannot allow a blocked device

hello,

My Netgear Router Firmware Version: V1.0.2.28

With access control enabled and rule: Block all new devices from connecting.

Recently I purchased a new notebook and netgear router blocked it's wifi.

I want to allow it's wifi connection, so I did:

1. I checked the radio button of the new notebook and pressed: ALLOW.
2. After the router had refreshed, I am still getting that the new notebook is blocked.

How can I allow a new device to become "not new" and put it's IP in the allowed list, and then block other new devices?

Best regards,

Loui.

Hi diralex,

Can you post the screenshot of your access control.

When you select the button of the new laptop, click edit. Change the option from block to allow then click apply.

This is screenshots:

1. With BLOCK mode - the notebook is blocked.

2. After V on the notebook and Allow and refresh - still blocked.

3. After edit mode - still blocked.

4. after edit mode and changing to Allow and Apply - still blocked (either in the main and the edit windows).

Hi diralex,

Reset the router to factory default and reconfigure the access control manually.

Re: Access Control | netgear cannot allow a blocked device

Hi @JamesGL

Unfortunately, after I thought that the issue had solved, yesterday I attached a new device (Harmony Hub) to the router

and the problem occurred again.

Simply I cannot allow a new device because the router blocked it forever.

I think this is a firmware issue, because it's not reasonable that I should do a factory reset after every

new device that attached to the router.

Please your help.

Best regards.
