Additional WiFi Router with Nighthawk R7000P

I have a new R7000P wifi router in my main house and my tenant in my guest house is using his own Syslink router. His router is hardwired with a cat5 cable running from my R7000P router into the guest house. For whatever reason his router does not work ever since I made the switch.

What am I missing?

If both devices are in route rmode, you're in a double nat. It can cause many issues.

Try having the guest house router placed in access point mode. (if your R7000P is the entry point to the home for internet)

How far is the ethernet run to the guest house?

I

If you plug a computer into the run thats going to the guest house, does it work?

You were right. I was able to set them up as cascading modems and it now works great! Thank you!
