Re: Admin Login website

@careal71 don't worry, we know how the various browsers default messages are looking.

Have managed to regain access to your router in the meantime?

Re: Admin Login website

Do you get any error messages?  Have you tried accessing the router using the IP address of your router?

   Try:

      http://www.routerlogin.net/

      (Without the "s")

These routers don't do "https://" from the LAN.  If complaints from
your browser bother you, see:

      https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/1923685

Copy+paste is often easier (and more helpful) than pictures.  General
advice:

"unable" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

When all else fails, you might try the obvious:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for
"Troubleshoot" and "You Cannot Log In to the Router".

Re: Admin Login website

Poor condescending answer is not acceptable. Giving me a link to read the "**bleep**ing" manual is offensive. You're no help.

You have my permission not to accept it.

_I_ find it offensive when someone expects volunteers to put more
effort into solving his problem than he is willing to invest himself.

If you try no suggestions, answer no questions, and provide no useful
information, then "no help" may be about all that you can reasonably
expect.

Would be interesting from where this -wrong- or at least misleading information is coming from.

A possible source is the Netgear KB entry How do I recover my NETGEAR admin password using the password recovery feature? Let the community us know if you find more wrong references please.

Taking the fact that most routers (including your R6080) this article is supposed to apply to are -not- supporting https please kindly try http://www.routerlogin.net/ or http://www.routerlogin.com/ instead.

Said that, there is absolutely nothing wrong with @antinode well meant advise to check the fine documentation.

Please be aware we're just Netgear users spending some spare time to assist in the community. We're neither paid nor sponsored in any way.

@Christian_R Please take care that this KB mess, count in the video referred using 10.0.0.1 IP address, and at least these two KB entries How do I recover my NETGEAR admin password using the password recovery feature? | Answer | NETGEAR S... and How do I reset the admin password on my NETGEAR router? | Answer | NETGEAR Support are fixed/merged/corrected. Thank you! It's ridiculous how careless Netgear does handle their customers...

Re: Admin Login website

Thanks for the response. I did not mean to be rude to a previous response but it came across as disrespectful to me (as a novice to this). I am finding Netgear platform not easy to navigate (ie posting screenshots). Not sure why it is an issue Best.

The non-psychics in your audience might find it difficult to guess
what this "issue" might be.  See "not a useful problem description
[...]", above.  Which part of "actual" was unclear?

You now have two people offering the same suggestion about the form
of the URL which you're using.  Have you considered trying it?

I didn't like your lack of responsiveness, either.  As for being "a
novice", the less you know, the more important accurate, detailed,
precise descriptions become.  (And the less value your analysis may
have.)  What you did, and what happened when you did it, are what
matter.  Non-descriptive conclusions like "I am finding" often convey
little or no useful information. (In this case, "no".)

Re: Admin Login website

I had to redo the process with the provided link the community provided. It finally worked (had to reset again). Thanks.
