Airprint printer disappears after a few hours
My iPhones can see my Airprint printer for a few hours. After that, the printer disappears and I get the “No Airprint printers found” message. Then I power-cycle my printer and the iPhones can see it again. Details:
- Using Netgear R6700v3 in AP mode. Connected to a no-wifi cable modem/router with Ethernet cable. R6700v3 is the only wireless router/AP in the house.
- Printer is Canon LBP612C. It natively supports Airprint. Energy Saver sleep mode is disabled.
- Printer is connected wirelessly to R6700v3 AP on 2.4GHz band. Distance between printer and AP is 2 feet. Have used Ethernet cable instead, same problem.
- iPhone are connected to the R6700v3 on 5GHz band.
- Have updated R6700v3 firmware followed by 30:30:30 reset.
- Have updated printer firmware.
- Desktop PCs are connected to R6700v3 AP with Ethernet cables, not Airprint, and can always see the printer.
I think I’ve covered all the information. Any thoughts on the disappearing printer?
Hello, anyone home? When people don't include lots of info in their question, there are tons of " we need more information" and "you did not mention this" and "you did not explain that". Here I give all the info one could want..... and.... no replies! Funny!
