BRIDGE A C7100V MODEM/Router C7100V TO A NIGHTHAWK AC3600

Last December, I purchased a Nighthawk cable modem C7100v and just replaced it with a Nighthawk cable Modem CM1150v.

Along with the CM1150v I installed a Nighthawk x65 AC3600 router.

My question is: now that the C7100v is no longer in service with xfinity, is it possible to convert the C7100v to a stand alone wireless router and bridge it to the AC3600 router?

Since the AC1700 no longer activated (as a working modem) it wouldn't work as an access point. Correct?

   Modem+router, not a simple "modem".

None of that is a model number.  Look for "Model" on the product
label.  "R7960P"?  ("X6S"?)

Generally, you can't use a Cxxxx model as "a stand alone wireless
router", because it has no Ethernet WAN/Internet port.

What, exactly, does "bridge it" mean to you?  Sadly, "bridge" is a
term which is so broadly used as to have become almost meaningless.

If you want to use the C7100V as a wireless access point (with an
Ethernet connection (or equivalent) between it and your main router
(R7960P?)), then that should be possible.  See, for example:

      https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/1463500

That's written for a Netgear C6300-as-WAP, but the steps are about the
same for any other router (any make/model) which lacks a one-step WAP
option.  (I'd expect a C7100V to be very similar.)

What's an "AC1700"?  Assuming that you mean the C7100V, why not?  You
wouldn't be using its modem section, only (parts of) its router section.
Who would need to "activate" what?

The whole point of that cited thread was to explain how to configure
a Cxxxx modem+router as a WAP.  Why would I cite it (or write the
procedure in it) if I believed that that task was impossible?
