Blocked web sites and Parental Controls Using R7000
I have attempted to block certain websites using the block sites function. No matter what I do, the blocking does no good; the websites are easily accessible. Not sure what else has to be done. I hit the apply button and I have tried it using the "always" option and using a schedule but to no avail. I also have no such luck using the parental controls. I can set everything up but then nothing appears to be enforced. Is there a secret to actually implementing these features that I am missing? What I am trying to do is to block certain social media sites during particular times of the day and also have generic parental controls in place for pornography etc. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

What DNS server(s) is your router using? What DNS servers is your computer pointed to?

You cannot block a IP address
You cannot block any HTTPS sites
You can block an address for example xxxxxxx.xxxx.xxxxxxxxxxx.com
You can block a site using Key word or domain name
