Hello!
The subject says it already: I want to block a particular webside (kids...) and it works well when they type the url in the browser; however, they can still access that said website by using google and then click on the link.
I think I found a similar post here, but that was some years ago and the solution (?) wasn't quite convincing -- it was something like "block https", which is not something I want to block in general, obviously.
Is there no other workaround that prohibits access to one particular website?

How are you controlling this? Router level? Parental Controls? Circle?
The latter give you better control over which devices can get where.

Good morning!

I use Advanced - Security - Block Websites... the simples version 🙂
I don't use parental controls / circle. Maybe ignore the fact that this is for a child. I'm simply wondering why "block websites" allows me to enter keywords and addressess -- but then one can still access these websites when one looks for them via google and clicks on them. This looks to me like a bug (?)
Best wishes

Re: Blocked website still accessible via google search + click
Hello!
Turns out, Circle works fine! When I looked it up initially (some time ago), I only found the premium version... and I wasn't keen on paying a subscription. But the basic version seems good enough!
Best wishes!
