Blocking Websites on Nighthawk R7000

Have any of you had success blocking websites and topics by keyword or domain on your Nighthawk R7000 Router? If so, how did you do it?

Re: Blocking Websites on Nighthawk R7000

In the times of https - no luck - the system designed in place does not "see" the encrypted https traffic. Works with plain text http sites only - not many left, so more an academic answer.

@Christian_R  many Netgear routers still in maintenance have this site or keyword blocking feature - either it has to be enhanced massively, or at least a note should be added that it can work woth http, but not with https. Even the latest and greatest AX8 and AX12 continue to have this feature on board.

See http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RAX120/RAX120_UM_EN.pdf p.47/48 Use Keywords to Block Internet Sites for example.

Complete useless in the year 2019. I must continue to state that Netgear does continue to pay product managers which appear to not understand Internet basics. Sorry for the rant - it had to be here!
