Brand New router R7900 with firmware V1.0.1.12_10.0.17 randomly disconnects ALL ports

1. Unplugged Linksys WRT AC1900 router (we had to ship it to another location). Removed Netgear R7900 X6 from the box.
2. Connected LAN cable to a laptop and installed latest firmware V1.0.1.12_10.0.17 and restarted
3. Changed default password and configured SSID and enabled Smart Connect for both 5 GHz radios.
4. Assigned reserved addresses for ALL discovered devices (no device left behind).
5. Restarted router
Router keeps losing connections to ALL ports - even LAN port. The desktop connected on the LAN port loses connectivity at the same time as all WiFi devices - so I presume its not a WAN port problem. Googled and found tons of similar issues and no solution. I wish I had never bought this router.

Netgear routers can do some strange things if you don't reset them using the reset button after you change firmware.

Yes, thatdid it. Thanks a billion - I was frustrated with this router and the reset fixed it.
