I have C7800 Router and Nighthawk X6S range extender connected wirelessly. The Nighthawk X6S looses 5Mhz pipe connection very frequently. Is it possible to connect these two devices via ethernet cable, thereby providing a highspeed conneciton between them?

The EX8000 does have an access point mode.
when you hardwire it in, you simply re-run setup for access point mode.

Thanks! I set the extender as AP and it works pretty well.
