Have Kaspersky? Uninstall it and re-install it.

Re: Can´t login into the router

What URL are you using?

On a Windows PC enter IPCONFIG in a Command Prompt. Are you using the IP Address that is the same as the GATEWAY IP Address?

Re: Can´t login into the router

192.168.1.1. Yes, it's the gateway ip address. I also tried routerlogin.com routerlogin.net, nothing. It's not the computers because I've tried different ones. Even mobile phones, tablets, etc... Very strange.

Re: Can´t login into the router

I guess RESETTING the router (use a paperclip on the recessed button on the back and leave it depressed until the power light flashes) is the next best thing to try.

Now the other question is is ANY device hard wired to the router? Wireless devices might not connect as you might not know the wireless passphrase. Should always use a wired device to change settings anyway.

Re: Can´t login into the router

Thank you for your help. Yes, I have tried ressetting it a few times with no luck. I can´t access with the main computer neither (is wired to the router). I tried connectting the laptop with a cable as well. Nothing works Smiley Sad

And the thing is that it was working before so I really don´t understand what happened.

Re: Can´t login into the router

Had you done anything to the router? Updated Firmware maybe? Did you have a power drop in your house?

I could be way off base but it could be a h/w issue even, power surge, h/w failure?

Could try TELNET access to the router, see https://github.com/insanid/NetgearTelnetEnable, I've used this a year ago, not sure it if was this one or not? See https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/Telnet-enabled/td-p/458213 for that. See this too, http://xiaopan.co/forums/threads/howto-pwn-netgear-routers-via-telnet.1039/. I think this IS a longshot though. If it works and you can reset settings, great, otherwise, probably a router h/w problem.

Re: Can´t login into the router

I just recently bought a router as well, brand new just out of the box, tried to set it up. Going to routerlogin.net, tried entering the ip address into the search bar, nothing is successful. Not sure if its a problem on Netgear's end or not?

Re: Can´t login into the router

Nothing. I tried that but I can´t make telnet work. Last thing I did was update to the latest firmware. Maybe it´s because of that.

I suggest you start a  NEW thread.

Give specific details as well, such as what router, wired connection or wireless. What is the IP Address of the Gateway? What are the lights that are on and what color? Can you go to the Internet or not?

I thought I answered this already?

Could very well be that the flash was a problematic?

There are threads her using TFTP to flash the router.

These are probably last resort though. If you bricked it with the flash, and are out of warranty, probably worth trying?
