Cannot connect from wired authorized computer
As per title although I have manually added the (100% correct) MAC address of my wired computer into the Access Control allowed list there is no way I can access my R7000.
I am running the latest firmware and I need please to sort this out. 😞

Re: Cannot connect from wired authorized computer
Does the MAC match the MAC in the attached devices? Turn off access control. Contact support.

Re: Cannot connect from wired authorized computer
I don't have R7000 front of me but I think Mac filter is only for wireless device only unless R7000 has implemented both mac filter for wireless and wired.

Attached Devices doesn't show it up and I forgot to mention that even by disabling Access Control I can't connect from the PC.
Btw the R7000 is wire connected by the Internet port only (correct?).

Both are accepted by the MAC filter and this was possible since along ago (see my previous WPN824). 🙂

Are you referring to address reservation under LAN setup

It actually says the word 'wireless' only, but trust me if I say that I had to put the wired computer MAC address too to be able to access that router. 😉
And no I am not referring to that.

Re: Cannot connect from wired authorized computer
The r7000 has a MAC filter which covers all connections and should be avoided if you experience a problem.
So default holding the reset until power led flashes. Then re-enter configs and leave the Mac filtering alone and contact support.

Considering that I wanted to backup and flash King's firmware that's a sad option left after spending a whole morning at setting up my R7000... 😞
Thanks anyway everybody.

Re: Cannot connect from wired authorized computer
I couldn't remember on AC router but I guess does both wired and wireless now.
Although I don't think WPN824 ever did both
