Not much to go on there. Does the modem work without the router? Has this ever worked?
Which "nighthawk AC1900" is this?
AC1900is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
Look at the label on the device for the model number.
As to the LM1200, that's not one of the standard routers discussed here.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems
Those things are very different from the standard Netgear routers covered in this section.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Re: Cannot connect
The LM1200 has some basic routing functions built into it as well as the capability to act as failover.
If you're just using it as modem and want to leave the RAX as router, you can enable passthrough mode on the lm1200.
Otherwise, you can leave the LM1200 acting as the modem/router and put the RAX in access point mode.
Either mode you use, make sure to plug into the lan port and not the wan port on the lm1200.
The wan port is for if you've already got an internet connection from cable modem/dsl/fibre/etc and plan on using the lm1200 as a failover point.
