I've followed the instructions, and I can see the USB on the routerlogin.net pages as well as in a browser via its IP address.
But I just cannot see it in Windows 10......
Any advice please ?

And the solution is.........
a. Click on Start button
b. Type \\readyshare.routerlogin.com, in the search box and hit enter.
c. This should open a window with one folder inside similar to USB storage.
d. Check to see if your documents are inside,
e. If so go back outside of the folder and right-click scroll down to map network drive.
f. A window should appear, then select a drive letter and click finish.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
How are you accessing the thing in windows?
Tried this?
\\READYSHARE
Perhaps you need to get Windows to see it.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
That's what I've been trying.
I typed Run at the Start and then typed \\readyshare
I get the "Windows cannot access \\READYSHARE check the spelling of the name, otherwise there might be a problem with your network, etc etc, click Diagnose.."
Clicking Diagnose doesn't find / fix anything.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
Okay,
I'm getting closer to solving this.....
I found a thread on Microsoft's Answer's forum.
It was suggested to try going to;
\\readyshare.routerlogin.com
And that should open up an Explorer Windows which it did 🙂
Now.... I need to know how to 'map' that drive ??
(I wouldn't want to be typing \\readyshare.routerlogin.com at the Start button every time I wanted to access it on my network (of 2 computers connected via Ethernet).

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
What that meant was;
"I typed Run at the Start button and there I typed \\readyshare"
Those are the instructions which came with the Router.
Since then however, as mentioned below, I found a thread on MS Answers - and typing \\readyshare.routerlogin.com in Explorer does give me my "T_Drive" in Explorer which is my USB that's in the Router.
However, I now need to figure out how to 'map' that so that everytime I go into explorer, I see that USB as a 'network' drive.

Or set it up properly in the browser interface for your router.
It will then appear as a mapped network drive in Explorer.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
I mentioned twice that it would not see \\readyshare - neither Netgear's written instructions worked nor yours.
I took the trouble to help others with the same problem by giving the correct solution that finally worked for me.
No need to thank me.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
In other words, you eventually followed the instructions on page 71 of the manual.
But that is not as thorough as following what is on page 74.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
I don't have a manual of 70+ pages, the userguide which came with my device goes up to page 20.
The copy and paste I did were from MS Answers.
No need to reply further. Thanks.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
Aha. That explains it.
For future reference, there a manual and other support material for the R7000 somewhere at the end of this link:
>>>> R7000 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<<
If you haven't checked there already, see if you have the latest firmware for your R7000. ReadySHARE is one of those things that gets tweaked from time to time, usually with security fixes.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
Thanks for the link - I've downloaded the 196 page manual 🙂
(hopefully should help sort out my final issue I'm having - networking a wireless pc (i.e. not via ethernet cable)).
Many thanks.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
It is a pity that Netgear, and others, long ago abandoned providing a CD with software and a manual.
If you haven't got the latest firmware yet, get in there quickly, before you have got everything working as you want. New firmware often requires a complete factory reset, which is a beast because you usually have to reconfigure the thing all over again.
The good news is that setting up wifi is usually easier than setting up ReadySHARE, which is horrid.

Re: Cannot get Readyshare USB to work on my PC
Thanks, I have the latest firmware, did that twice this week (once as soon as I got it on Monday, and another update again today).
