Cannot get my new AX12 working with Frontier (ARIS) DVR
I had a ARRIS NVG468MQ router that came with my Frontier Internet and TV. It worked with their DVR (separate box connected via Cat 6 cable). Their router could not handle the traffic in my house and had to reboot every 3-4 hours.
I upgraded to the Nighthawk. Sll isd well, EXCEPT the DVR cannot communicate to the Frontier central office. After looking in detail of the configuration of the old router and the new router the only difference is in the DNS configuration page. Frontier has a local entry secure.acs.frontier,com which points to 216.52.29.31. See the attached printout.
How can i duplicate this entry in my Nighthawk router?
thanks in advance,
Howard

Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number. Get the manual and read the bits about DNS in the section Manually Set Up the Internet Connection.
Maybe you did this. I can't tell from your message.

Re: Cannot get my new AX12 working with Frontier (ARIS) DVR
My understanding (don't have frontier) is that the NVG468MQ has moca (ethernet over coax) built into it and their dvr's use that to communicate with the router/gateway.
the RAX120 doesn't have moca.
I understand the dvr is hardwired in but did you rerun setup with them?
Or contact frontier to see if they CAN connect via that route or the best way to do so.
