Hi lionsroar,
Please link this link as your reference of how to log into the router UI.
If following the steps did not resolve the issue then I suggest to do the following:
- Check IP address of the device connected to the router. Make sure that device has valid IP address.
- Try accessing the router UI using the IP address
- Use different browser
- Reset router

When you do what, exactly?

When you do what, exactly?
"Cannot" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.
The Arris TG8442 is a modem+router with "2 carrier-grade VoIP Lines",
so I'd guess that you'll want to use the R7000 as a wireless access
point, rather than disable the router fearures of the TG8442 by trying
to put it into a modem-only mode.

The R7000 User Manual explains how to "Use the Router as a Wireless
Access Point". Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model
number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual.

Re: Cannot get the AC1900 Nighthawk (R7000) to act as an AP or Bridge
Sorry - I am trying to bring it up for the first time. I followed the directions in the booklet that was included in the box with it. The Netgear Genie screen does not come up. The router does not connect to the internet, even though I have verifed the connection with my laptop. I also downloaded the Genie app to my phone, but cannot access the router through that either.
