Were you actually dealing with Netgear, or with some third-party scam
artist? Did the problem get fixed?

Please pardon my curiosity, but were you ever promised unlimited

As I understand the definition of "extortion", a voluntary exchange
which delivers what was promised does not qualify. This seems to be
your first posting in these forums, so I infer that you didn't seek
(free) help here before agreeing to that "extortion".

Discarding working equipment seems foolish to me.

Because they failed to deliver more than they had promised? How
shameful is that?

Sounds to me as if the size of that lot is one.

Not being a router, that's not one of them. Nice tantrum, though.
I call tech support to help fix it, and since I bought it 14 months ago I had to pay to have them help fix it.
Netgear doesn't post a number for phone support.
So who did you call? Not, I hope, a number you found on a web search.
