Control ethernet ports
On my smart tv the wifi is pretty slow vs what I get on my cellphone and pc. My isp is 120/10 this is what I get from my devices except tv. I know the tv dont have the same network cards, I think it is max 100mbps.. but I get about 25/30 mbps , on the 5ghz and ethernet cable.
Some seems to have 65-70mbps.. my tv is samsung and they dont seem to have an answer. But someone told me that I could try to control the ethernet ports, reduce the bandwidth to help the tv, cause the tv can handle max 100 vs router which is wide open :-).. so according to him, on some firmwares or routers, we can choose for the ports : desactivate, 100mbps, 1000... etc.
Do you have an idea?
On my router I can use netgear firmware, voxel, open wrt or ddwrt
Btw you can check the pic, example of what I'm talking about.

What makes you think that the TV needs more than about 10Mb/s to do
its job? Is there some actual problem which you are trying to solve, or
do you just want to see bigger speed numbers somewhere?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. I doubt that you'll
find anything about manually setting the speed of any Ethernet ports.
And, even if you could, I doubt that it would affect the TV.
