D7000v2 Modem only mode not keeping internet settings
I have setup my D7000 manually in modem/router mode and am able to connect to the internet fine with a static IP, UN and PW supplied from my ISP.
When I switched to Modem Only mode, so I can experiment with a Cisco Meraki firewall which I am testing for work, I assumed it would just retain the internet settings and work fine, passing traffic directly to the firewall which has a DHCP server etc, but alas no internet connection (orange light)
When I log back into the D7000 and check the internet port, it has no IP / Subnet and no way to set it up manually, although it has retained the basic information about my ISP, it is not showing or asking for UN or Password (which it needs). Which is where i assuem the probelm lies.
Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong gratefully appreciated.

The Internet settings on the D7000v2 which affect the operation of
its router section can't/won't have much effect when you disable the
router section of the D7000v2.
Items like the PPPoE user and password must be configured on the
router, whatever that is.

Router functions.
