D7000v2 router lack of performance afterV1.0.0.51_1.0.1

Just downloaded the latest update and now my ethernet ports are showing a red light not white so I am no longer on 1GB, thanks, any ideas to get back to previous performance.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads.  (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".)  Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions.

I see V1.0.0.53_1.0.2 there.  How did _you_ determine "the latest"?

"red" or amber?  Is this indication repeatable through
dis-/re-connection?  Router power cycle?  Router settings reset?

Your report suggests that this firmware is defective.  The same
firmware which controls the port link rates also controls the LED
indicators.  If you don't trust this firmware to _set_ the port link
rates correctly, then why would you trust it to _indicate_ those link
rates correctly?

What are you connecting to these ports?  Can you get any information
on the actual link rate from any of those devices?

I'd probably start with the newer firmware before spending much time
investigating your "the latest" firmware.

Re: D7000v2 router lack of performance afterV1.0.0.51_1.0.1

I know some weeks have passed since your original post but, as I've just stumbled across it,  it might help you to know that, prior to V1.0.0.51_1.0.1, the D7000v2 firmware did not report LAN port speeds correctly - all ports were shown as 1GB/s (both in terms of the white LED indications, and the speed quoted on the Show Statistics GUI page) even if the actual speed of an attached device was only 10/100Mbps.

I raised this as an issue with Netgear Support last year and they supplied me with V1.0.0.49_1.0.1 (beta) firmware which fixed the issue and that fix was then incorporated into V1.0.0.51_1.0.1  and subsequent releases.  So if some/all of your attached devices now result in the router LAN port LEDs showing amber rather than white it just means that those devices never were Gigabit capable.  You haven't lost performance - it was never there in the first place.
