D7800 keeps dropping internet ADSL connection

I bought new router 4-6 months ago. It’s now just starting dropping internet connection around 5-9pm almost every day. Checked with my provider and they checked the line and it’s all good. Firmware is the latest V1.0.1.56.
Is their a problem with router. Is their a way to reboot automatically if connection drops or any other fixes.

Of course it will say "all is good". Whether it is true or not is another matter.

What ISP is this?

What happens during this interruption? What disconnects? Wifi devices? The DSL signal?

What do the LEDs show?

Do the modem/router logs show anything?

If it is just the Internet going down, then it should reconnect itself without any intervention on your part.

If you visit the support pages:

Support | NETGEAR

you can feed in your model number and find the documentation for your hardware.

Look for Connection Mode and ensure that it is Always On.

Re: D7800 keeps dropping internet ADSL connection

hi,

  • I checked connection on always is ticked.
  • ISP is telstra ADSL
  • wifi device remain on including the white lights
  • I just lose the ADSL connection, i live about 600m from the exchange.
  • it happen again last night I always seem to loose it anywhere from 5pm to 8pm, works fine all day as I'm on the internet
  • tried factory reset same thing seems common problem when i look on net,
  • logs dont really show anything
  • when I have lost connection , it will stay off until next morning and I need to reboot to get the connection back online
  • some people roll back firmware, I havent tried it yet, but those posts date back more than a year, so i not sure if peple are still doing this.
  • found someone update to open WRT firmware, but with 5 pepole in the house i can see myself loosing a lot of time
