DNS issue resolution trick for R7900

Clients - windows, iphone, ipad, android - were not getting DNS IP from Nighthawk R7900 Wifi router. Internet connection and DNS IP information was good on both cable modem and wifi router. nslookup with wifi router ip was working. yet no device could resolve a server name to an ip in any browser. Turned out comcast reset the activation status of the modem after repairing an area wide signal strength issue. After repeating the comcast procedure to activate the modem the wifi was again able to prive the DNS IP to the network clients. (Doesn't make sense why before the rooter had the DNS IP in its status page but not giving it to the clients, but hey, this reactivation of the modem worked.)

An actual address might reveal more than your opinion of its quality.

Comcast (among others) may do funny things with DNS for an
unactivated modem(+router).  The idea is that no matter where you direct
your web browser, you'll end up at the Comcast registration/activation
page.  Once activated, DNS is switched to normal.  (Whether that
involves using a different DNS server, I don't know.)
