DST adapter 6501 not Pairing with Router

I have an Nighthawk R7300 DST router and adapter. The router works great but I cannot get the adapter to pair up with the router. When trying to add it, Clicking on remote DST Management yields "No remote DST adapters found"
When trying to connect to the SSID it fails

History? New installation, or something changed, or what?

"cannot" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

> [...] When trying to add it, [...]

"trying" how, exactly? What's plugged into what, where?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
the LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot". Pay particular attention to
the installation instructions like:

Note: Do not plug the power cord into a surge protector.

and:

      /!\ WARNING:

Do not plug the DST adapter into extension cords, power
          strips, or surge protectors.

Further reading might not hurt, either.

Try using outlets which are closer to each other?

> When trying to connect to the SSID it fails

"When trying to connect" _what_ to which SSID? Regarding "fails",
see "not a useful problem description [...]", above.

Re: DST adapter 6501 won’t connect to Router no network

The router has been in place for several years. Finally found a use for the extender.
So the Install for the extender is new it has never been used.
Install it in the wall outlet “not on surge protector or extension cord “ blue led for power and green led for network on the device. Using my mobile try to connect to the SSID for the extender, it tries to connect says no internet, weak security. Then drops the connection. Plug in Ethernet Using the laptop to the extender and says no internet, unidentified network. Since I can’t get it online I can’t use the web interface or app.

Re: DST adapter 6501 won’t connect to Router no network

Also when I tried to sync up the router and adapter. Pressed the wps and dst sinc button on the router and then the adapter. Lights flashing on both. Router stops first. Then adapter stops. Sold blue WiFi and solid green power.
Tried again same thing. Factory reset adapter and resync’d. Same thing.

According to the User Manual, there are four LEDs on the DST Adapter.
What does Netgear call what you call the "led for network"?

> [...] Since I can't get it online [...]

"it"? "online"? You don't need an Internet connection to communicate
with your local gizmos.

> [...] I can't use the web interface or app.

Says who? What happens when you try? Regarding "can't", see "not a
useful problem description [...]", above.

Rather than offering your explantion of what "can't" work, have you
tried following the instructions? Then, perhaps, report what happens,
when you do that?

Re: DST adapter 6501 won’t connect to Router no network

Solid green led is WIFI
Solid blue power
No other lights on.

What are you taking about I don’t need internet to communicate with the adapter?
There not communication coming from it to the router whether it be network or whatever your talking about.

The interface doesn’t work because you can’t get the thing online. It says you must be connected to the damn thing in order to communicate with it. Whether using app of web.

Thing
It
Whatever
We are only taking about the adapter/extender

When I try to connect to the interface it says I need to be connected to its network. ITS NOT ONLINE DUHHHH.

What do you think I’ve been doing. I’ve walked through the instructions. Clearly your a d bag and only offers criticism not actually troubleshooting advice. Guru haha
