Do I need a new cable modem?

I purchased this equipment (c7000v2) two years ago this month.   Over the past couple of weeks my download speeds have been erratic.  I contacted Comcast who did their thing and they found nothing wrong from their end and suggested it could be time to replace my cable modem.    Netgear still sells this equipment so it isn't outdated.   There have been no recent changes in my equipment, devices connected or my usage.    I'm kind of at an impass.   Any thoughts?

Do you have a screen snip of your cable connections page and the modem logs? Attach those back on here. 

If you have any splitters, amplifiers, or attenuators in your coax line, remove them. 

Is it just wired device, wireless devices, or both having the issue?

Yes, I do have splitters but I have to use them.  They have been in use for years.    I use wireless only.  I copied and pasted the info on my cable connection.  I hope that will work.   Thanks!

try hardwiring in a device to test your speeds and to check stability. If it drops when the wireless is having an issue, then it could be a hardware failure. 

If it doesn't, it could just be a wireless interference issue. 

have you notices if the issue is using the 2.4ghz or 5ghz signal? 

2.4ghz broadcasts further and through more materials but is much much slower and suffers from more interference. 

You can go in and try changing what channels the 2.4ghz and 5ghz broadcasts on
