An attempt to download an R7000 firmware upgrade from the routerlogin.com web site produced the message "unknown error - 109" and no download initiated. Tried again later on with same result. Please advise.

"the routerlogin.com web site" is your router. You don't download
firmware _from_ it, you upload firmware _to_ it.
What's the current firmware version on the R7000?
"attempt"? What, exactly, are you doing? What kind of computer
(operating system) and web browser are you using? In your description,
include actual actions, file names, and so on.
Standard advice: Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model
number, and look for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and
Software Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the
kit(s). Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file
for instructions.
