DynDNS / alternative provider such spdns.org

Recently I’d replaced my old slow WNDR3800 with the awesome Nighthawk and have troubles with DynDNS under the firmware V1.0.3.60_1.1.27.
In the old Router respectively under the old firmware I was able to setup an other DynDNS-Provider such spdns.org.
Now the firmware does accept this provider only if I change the item in the dropdown menu in debug mode (firefox web developer plugin) – see screenshots.
The status seems ok but the redirection doesn't work.
I openend the same ports and defined the same portforwarding like in the old setting.)
Is this a bug?
Interestingly I was also not able to register by mynetgear.com.

You two option are No-IP or Dyndns.

No-IP was added for alternative in latest firmware due to dyndns is no longer free.

I don't think Netgear had options to use spdns.org. as DDNS in the past

As long as you have serial number on the unit you should able to. Forum does not support registration issues at my.netgear.com.

Since dyndns didn't work anymore I changed to spdns.org. WNDR3800 did accept the settings even it has only one option and worked fine for a long time and would it still do.

These restrictions devalue the product!
