EX6120 wi-fi repeater does not pass ip number on ethernet port
I have a network with a DSL Router Italian Alice Telecom service provider, a GS724TPP Netgear switch connected to several clients, some thru others 8-ports switches. I have the problem of suspected data loss from a PC to a milling machine working with a win xp platform and connected with ethernet cable some 30 Mt long.
I'm trying to solve the problem sending the data via wi-fi and I have installed a EX6120 repeater and conneting the milling machine to the EX6120 ethernet port (since the milling machine does not have wi-fi)
While the EX6120 correctly repeats the wi-fi network, I am unable to see the machine on the network either if I assign static IP or automatic on EX6120.
What's wrong? Is the wi-fi repeter the wrong item for that purpose?
Thanks for a hint
