EX7300v2 won’t power up

I’ve had this extender for 1 year and 5 weeks. Recently the wifi signal has been poor so I checked the extender and noticed that only the yellow power light was on. I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in but no change. All the lights came on for an instance when I first plugged it in but only the power light remains on. I tried this several times including cycling power on my whole house router. I tried restoring factory settings with power on and off but nothing changes. I contacted customer support but they only informed me that my unit was out of warranty and couldn’t help unless I paid for a service consultation.

when you reset, did you push and hold for up to 30 seconds while it was powered on?

You can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.

are you on windows? if so, follow this guide

    https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP

just make sure you enable tftp

    https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10

and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Thanks for a lot of good information, unfortunately none of them corrected my issue. On the factory reset I tried 3 times: 30 seconds, 1 minute, and 2 minutes. Resetting power before each attempt.

I downloaded the latest firmware for windows, and the tftp file. I enable TFT on my computer and followed every instruction in the video but kept getting failed attempts to connect. I also download the nmrpflash program but it wouldn’t install because I’m missing a wpcap.dll file.

To be clear, this is an extender I’m having trouble with.

you can install wpcap if you scroll down on the nmrpflash readme.
