EX8000 as access point unable to find internet
I'm trying to setup my EX8000 as an access point but it fails smart setup as it cannot find the router.
However all the devices hardwired to the EX8000 can successfully access the internet.
My EX8000 is hardwired to a Linksys MR9600 through a ethernet switch.
LinkSys<-->Switch<-->EX8000
I'm able to setup the EX8000 as an Extender but it seems flaky when I do as I only get about 10% signal.
Any ideas?

Re: EX8000 as access point unable to find internet
Review the installation guide and user manual on how to setup AP mode on the Extender.
Be sure your using good quality LAN cables between the EX and main host router. CAT6 is recommended.
Try connecting the EX directly to the back of the main host router.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the WiFi Extender products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with WiFi Extender products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:
