Error400 infomation in EX series wifi extenders
Hello everyone:
I used the EX7700 and tried to turn on its telnet function. But when I accessed the URL http://IP/debug.htm, the extender responsed me with error information "error400 This server does not support the operation requested by your client." But I think the debug.htm is existed in the router. Is there any bug of this series?
I have tried this page on EX7700 with firmware version V1.0.0.188.
Thanks for your help!

How do you know that it has one?

So, a feature which is unsupported in a router works even less well
in an extender? I'm not amazed. If the file did not exist, then I'd
expect a "404" error. But "exists" and "works" are spelled differently
for a reason.

Define "bug". You could try asking Netgear, but the response I'd
expect would be something like "not supported".
Have you tried any of the various "Netgear Telnet Enable" programs
which exist? A quick Web search should find some. I use one which I
modified: http://antinode.info/nte/ , but I have no experience with an
EX<anything>.

Re: Error400 infomation in EX series wifi extenders
Hello:
1. Why I think the 'debug.htm' is existed in the extender?
Because if I access an obviously nonexistent URL such as 'http://IP/testtest.htm' or 'http://IP/notexist.htm', it will respond 'No such file or directory' instead of 'Error400[...]'. And I have found that there are several discussion about the 'Error400[...]' response in other netgear routers. So I wonder if it is a bug in this extender.
2. Why I think it can support the telnetd?
I have used several netgear models such as R7000, R8500, R7800 and Orbi RBK50/RBK53. And all of them can enable telnet service by access the 'http://IP/debug.htm'. So I am interesting at whether this service can be enabled in the extender after I think the debug.htm is existed.
Thanks.

The access to /debug.htm might be intentionally prohibited on the embedded Web server, or some secret information must be passed before or with the call ...

I just confuse why Netgear banned this function in an extender...
