Ethernet backhaul set it up on my Orbi WiFi System
With regard to the article https://kb.netgear.com/000051205/What-is-Ethernet-backhaul-and-how-do-I-set-it-up-on-my-Orbi-WiFi-Sy...
So I'm going to use the thrid method using a switch. What is not clear in the article is whether the Internet ethernet cable from the ISP should be connected to the switch or into the Internet plug of the Orbi acting as the Access Point (AP)? Is there an expected performance difference by connecting Internet cable into the switch vs the Orbi?
Thanks in advance, dofdear

Re: Ethernet backhaul set it up on my Orbi WiFi System
it should go from the ISP supply to the wan port of the orbi router.
From there you can connect the lan port on the router to a switch/other devices.

The Internet connection has to go to the WAN/Internet side of a NAT router, not to an Orbi in AP mode. Something borked with this plan.

Schumaku,
You Are Correct and The Original Question Should Have Been More Specific.
Should The Internet Output From The NAT Router Go Into The Switch Or The Orbi AP? One Response Received Suggests Into The Orbi, Do You Agree?

Re: Ethernet backhaul set it up on my Orbi WiFi System
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AC products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Should go from NAT router to Orbi RBR in AP mode is preferred. However if you have a switch in between the NAT router and Orbi RBR in AP mode, this should work as well. The RBS needs to be connected to the RBR though if you have it ethernet connected.
Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Thank you.
