I guessing that the internet is working otherwise and the modem has a 1gb port on it ?
If the modem is a 1gb connection port and the router's is working ok could be a bad lan cable between the modem and router one the twisted pairs could be bad, a cheap and the easiest point to start is the replace the lan cable with a cat6 lan cable, cat5e will work.
The make and model number of the modem would help.
