Ethernet port on AC 750

 What is the purpose of the Ethernet port on my AC750/EX3700 range entender?

   Here's an even greater mystery: What's the purpose of publishing
User Manuals for these devices if no one ever looks at them?

   Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get some.  Read.

Re: Ethernet port on AC 750

Two possibilities:

  • So that you can use the range extender in "access point" (AP) mode wired back to your router
  • So that you can plug in a wired Ethernet device so that it can use the wifi to connect to your router

Just another user.

My network DM200 -> R7800 -> GS316 -> PL1000 -> Orbi RBR40 -> Orbi RBS50Y -> RBS40V

 I did go to the Net Gear link before I posted this question, but could not find a specific answer.

  My question was just to satisiy my curiousity. I could just assume that I just plugged in the router to the extender and that would be it. But, I wanted to make sure.

  BYW Thank you for the reply.
