FIRMWARE (All). How will NG handle f/w updates for routers sold after 06/01/2016 due to FCC reg?

https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/kdb/forms/FTSSearchResultPage.cfm?id=39498&switch=P

Curious if any response from NG, but also from community.

Interesting. Apple's response seems they pulled stock of Airport Time Capsules and Base Stations. My existing Airport Time Capsule received a firmware update May 24th. http://appleinsider.com/articles/16/05/27/airport-extreme-time-capsule-pulled-from-us-apple-stores-

Hi All,

Here is the official statement from NETGEAR:

"NETGEAR has reviewed the recent FCC rule changes.  We are aware of their potential implications on open source firmware availability for WiFi routers but believe we can continue our general practice of not prohibiting opens source releases for our WiFi routers."
