Firmware Out of Date
I just purchased and installed the AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router, Model Cy000v2 (which is not in the model list above).
The Nighthawk app is installed on my phone. I continue to get the 'firmware out of date' message and the wifi icon with a ? next to it.
When I go to the router login, there is no message saying I need new firmware, nor is there an option under advanced/administration to check for router updates. My firmware version is v1.02.09. How do I keep the Nighthawk app from indicating I need an update?

Remove the defective app from your device? Wait for Netgear to
publish a less defective version?
Even if the message were accurate, there'd be nothing you could do
