Firmware killed my router

3 Months after warranty, a firmware update ruins a $200+ router and they will not do a damn thing except ask me to purchase a new one?

How can anyone support Netgear? There firmware update destroyed the router and now I have to buy a new one.

Re: Firmware killed my router

You did not tell us what happened. Was it a firmware update that caused the issue?

If so it is probably recoverable.

But we need to know what is happening. What is the status. What is the status of the LEDs including color?

It maybe you need to do a tftp recovery, but need the above to know.

Re: Firmware killed my router

I have the 6400V2 of the AC1750.

I tried t he TFTP firmware update ( uploads it into it fine, waited a full 30 minutes and it never flashed to solid white)

This is some serious nonsense. 15 months and a firmware should from the company should not ruin it and expect me to pay for it.

That could mean almost anything.  Which file, exactly, did you
upload, how, exactly?

If nothing good happens within, say five minutes, then I wouldn't
expect more waiting to help.
