Forgot password

I changed my router login password from 'password' to something else and didn't put it into my 1Password (head slapping myself).
How do I retrieve my password or do I have reset to factory defaults?

If you didn't check the password recovery option on the R7000 password change page, you will need to do a router reset. (depress recessed reset button) on back of R7000, until the power light is flashing, then release. That will return the R7000 back to factory default.

I actually found it in my Keychain Access. I've since added it to my 1Password file.Thanks so much for helping out.

Hi @Lsmith2955,

If you have not enabled password recovery, then you may need to reset the router to factory default.

Hey guys, i have a netgear router since few months ago but i lost the box with the default password and now i dont Know How to Connect to My router, can un help me please?

The default password is printed on the bottom of the router.  It is password.
