Gig WIFI possible on R9000?

I recently had fiber connected to my home and its speeds are topping 1GB. However, my WIFI is only around 300MB. Am I missing a setting or does speed really cut more than half over WIFI? Thanks for your help.

Wireless depends on a number of things. Client for one. 300 maybe as good as it gets. Here is a good article describing things, probably more info then you ever wanted. Does talk about wireless speeds to be expected under ideal conditions. None of us have that though. Talks about US, but the basic info is valid for anywhere.

Yes, he's right, it's probably the wireless card that's the issue. I also have the same model and my laptop with AC wireless card gets a max of 450 on a 1GB connection. I just ordered a new M.2 Wireless AD Card to try and see if I can hit gigabyte speeds or over that with the 60G. Card arrives today and I will let you know the results. :-)
