Gs605v5- adding device to insight

I live in apartment and the WiFi/router is all wireless and located in my ceiling. I have Arlo cameras which have a hub station and I haven’t been able to connect them because the hub must be connected to WiFi. So I got this switch and on the insight switch app it won’t let me add my Arlo hub device? Why ?

   Does that mean that you don't have an independent ISP connection or
your own router?

   At least one of us is seriously confused.  The GS605v5 is an
unmanaged Ethernet switch.  No wireless capability.  No managment at
all, let alone Netgear Insight management.

The Arlo hub does not need a connection to wifi. It needs a wired connection to a router or to a wireless access point/extender that is itself connected back to a router.

You cannot set up a wireless to wireless connection between an Arlo hub and a router.

Newer Arlo stuff, such as the Floodlight and some cameras, can connect to a router's wifi, but those devices don't need a hub.

These things need to play nicely together so you may have to get help from Arlo as well as Netgear.

There is support for Arlo stuff, including manuals, at the end of this link:

>>> Arlo | Support | Default<<<

Or visit the document library:

Arlo - Security Cameras and Systems

Pick your model and get the manual.
