Have 1 gb speed ISP and only getting 200 mpbs from the router... etherent cables are cat6

Anyways anyone have any suggestions about this? I have very old router and i m getting atleast 500 mpbs from 1,000 mpbs ISP... so i thought if i get better quality of router such as nighthawk, would get lot better speed for sure.. so i must of did something wrong here.. any info would help thanks

What modem is it connected to?

What firmware is on the R7800?

Did you enable any traffic monitoring/qos? If so, I'd recommend resetting the device to factory and re-installing. Reason why is those services disabled ctf (cut through forwarding) that's needed to hit speeds >250mbps. And I've read in other posts about settings being retained on those 2 even through a disable/reboot.
