My old router is beyond repair and I picked up the Netgear R7000. I've been looking for some help on setting up the router to work well with my chromecast, 2 android phones, 1 android tablet, wii u, 2 laptops, and 1 wired pc. The chromecast video quality hasn't been up to par recently and I can't figure out what settings to change that would improve it.
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc. Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/ Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above. Its a great resource to start with.
To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top. Register an account (or login) and then the device. From there you can start the support process. Keep in mind that its only free for the first 90 days.

Just an fyi, the R7000 was released in 2013. its still sold today but its getting a bit on in age/performance.
what firmware version is installed on it?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
are you connecting your chromecast to the 5ghz? The r7000 has smart connect so devices can be connected to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz. And 2.4ghz is much slower and sensitive to interference. You can always try disabling that and making sure the streaming devices are on the 5ghz.
