How many IP addresses can be reserved on an Nighthawk X6 (R8000)
Am looking to allocate IP addresses for all my devices on the network so does anybody know if there is a limit on how many devices can be added to the Address Reservation table?
Many thanks

I have about 20 reserved on my network and have not had any issues. I don't believe there is a limit to the number you can reserve.

Is that accurate? Firmware version?

I assume that there is one, but I have no reliable info on what it
might be. The following (low-quality) report might be interesting:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/2053443
A Web search might find other/better reports.
Did you consider offering any clues as to how many devices you might
have? Or whether you're seeing a problem?

I have 24 on my D7000[v1] (V1.0.1.78_1.0.1).

I don't believe that unlimited storage is a property of the R8000.
With a "/24" subnet, 253 would seem to be a pretty firm limit. I would
not be amazed to see problems well before that.
If I cared, and I had the device in hand, then I'd run the
experiment. I'd expect that result to be more reliable than any info I
might find here.

Re: How many IP addresses can be reserved on an Nighthawk X6 (R8000)
Hi,
Many thanks for the comments.
It is the latest firmware - V1.0.4.68_10.1.75
I dont currently have a problem as I am installing this router to replace a prevous setup. I have around 60 devices with mixture of wired/wireless or both. Am looking to give them an address so as to make known devices more easy to identify and whether on wired or wreless connection and soem devicxes I need a fixed address on.
On a previous router I hit a limit around 20-24 devices so before going to the effort of trying configuring them all on this one I thoght I would see if anybody is aware if there is a limit.
The article was useful and it does not look like there is any certainty on numbers supported (appreciate the overall limit of 253 on a /24 subnet). As per your comment I will give it a go and see if there is a restriction.

Have now entered the IP address reservations and the limit is 64 on this router.

Interesting. What happens when you exceed it? Error message, or
some kind of bad result, or what?
