Whenever I attempt to backup my computer data to iDrive cloud servers, my Netgear Nighthawk X4S R7800 router at detects a DoS attack (ACK Scan) and blocks my network connection to the router until I reboot. Is it possible to create a privileged route between their IP address and my router or computer?

Have you tried to Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection?
ADVANCED > Setup > WAN Setup
Most of those reports of DoS attacks are false positives.
I would look elsewhere for the source of your problems.
What messages do you see when the router blocks the connection?
