How to setup a wifi schedule on an EX7000 configured as an Access Point

My home network has an R7000 Wifi Router with two ethernet connected EX7000's setup as Access Points.  I have the wifi on the R7000 on a schedule and that works fine.  Is there a way to also turn the wifi on the EX7000's on a schedule?

Re: How to setup a wifi schedule on an EX7000 configured as an Access Point

There is a manual for the EX7000 somewhere at the end of this link:

>>>> EX7000 | Nighthawk WiFi Range Extender | NETGEAR Support <<<<

See the section Set Up an Access Schedule

By the way, you have posted your message in the section of this community given over to Nighthawk WiFi Routers. (This is easily done, given Netgear's impenetrable community structure.)

The EX7000 is a WiFi Range Extender.

You might get better replies, and find other answers, over in the appropriate section:

WiFi Range Extenders & Nighthawk Mesh - NETGEAR Communities

The "schedule" feature described in the manual is only available when the EX7000 is setup as an Extender and is not available when setup as a Access Point.

Thanks for your suggestion on posting in the other section.

Access Point mode generally removes a various features from devices. Here's the guidance on routers:

Disabled Features on the Router when set to AP Mode | Answer | NETGEAR Support

I can see no reason why this will not also apply to extenders.

You either use the thing as an Extender and have the opportunity to set schedules, or it is in  AP mode and you have to find some other way to achieve what you want.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

Unfortunately, using the EX7000 as extenders will not work based on my home layout without adding additional devices or sacrificing performance.

I understand why many features might not work while configured as Access point, but the ability to disable wifi seems like a useful feature for an Access Point and an Externder.

I will keep exploring other options.
