Go here and put in your router model number. You will be taken to site where the latest firmware is and also user manual. To update the firmware here you need to connect to the router, preferably by Ethernet and do a manual update. The notes with the firmware when you download typically have instructions. If not the user manual does. IMHO this is the only way to update the firmware and other thing is to turn of auto update if you have it on as this tends to cause issues or in some case bricks.
