I think my r7000 is dying after 4yrs of use, now frequently dropping wifi connections
After 4yrs for good use and functionality, my r7000 is now frequently dropping wifi connections and making high pitched noises (intermittently).
Now attempting a default factory restore (and maybe a firmware downgrade?) to see if that helps, otherwise looks like it might be time for a replacement.
Any advice and/or recommendations?

You did not indicate firmware version. I am guessing latest, 10.0.9.64. This version has issues.
Would suggest you back rev to 10.0.9.42.

Yep, was at latest (1.0.9.64). I'll give 1.0.9.42 a try. Thanks!
