Incorrect connection icons shown in attached devices

The connection type shown in some "Attached devices" is incorrect?  Some devices on WIFI show up with the "ETH" icon rather than "WIFI"

This is on an R9000 with V1.0.4.2 f/w

Netgear is aware of the issues with the attached devices on the R9000 and are working on a fix.

ETA on when this fix will be available? I have an R7000, and it's never worked in the 2 years I've owned it. I keep seeing "we're working on it" in various posts, but how long does it take to get it right? Why even have the "connection type" if it's wrong?

Re: Incorrect connection icons shown in attached devices

@sougato, I think common code is used for All/Most routers... my R8000 has the same problem. I have found that on my iPad I can change them using the Netgear (since depricated) or Nighthawk app and those changes hold when I look on the Browser GUI. Possible not all will hold but worth a try if you can do it. Suspect the Android versions would work too.
