Installion of new Newgear WiFI Problems
I have just replaced my Apple WiFi with the NetGear R7000P. the install seemed to go OK but I never had an opportunity to change the pre-defined SID nor password. But when I try to log in to Netgear support it asks for my serial number which I copy from the box and worked OK when I registered the product but the support screen says I have an invalid serial number. I really need a few minutes with a real person on the phone to walk me through what I may be doing wrong. Can anybody out there help me? I am somewhat tech savvy and not stupid, at least I didn't think so until this Netgear install fiasco. Thanks!!

What "Netgear support" are you trying to log into?
You don't need to login to anything on Netgear to access the router's control interface. That's best done by aiming your browser at routerlogin.net, preferably with a wired connection.
That gives you local access to the router. You can then change the SSID and password for the wifi in there.
There is a manual for the R7000P somewhere at the end of this link:
