Is it possible to use this router R6900p as a repeater (not bridge)?
Hello all, I am getting really frustrated with this router. I reverted its firmware to the begining of time and it still does not offer me the option to run it as a repeater (I have router, AP and bridge). Looks like the other routers like the R7000 can do this though. This looks like a feature that should be included! Plus, it seems that I cannot run a custom rom on this router to allow this repeater mode to happen. Does someone know? Thanks!

the R6900P doesn't have a repeater mode.
And netgear hasn't been adding it to any of their newer devices either.
So doubtful they'll go back and add it to an older device.
And if there isn't any 3rd party builds, you're unlikely to get any because the R6900P's been out for quite a while.
Options? you could try using moca adapters, powerline adapters, or even just an ethernet run to hardwire in the router and use it in access point mode.

No all NH routers models support Repeater modes. Most all later models don't. NG seems to have reserved this feature for there wireless extender (EX and EAX) series products.
Also be aware that chipset and CPU sets may impact weather some features like repeater are supported or not. Most Broadcom sets seems to support repeater features while MediaTek may not.
One suggestion woulld be to check out some 3rd party FW to see if there FW supports Repeater modes. Most 3rd party FWs had supported this mode. DD-WRT or OpenWRT support forums would be good places to start.
